Tucked under the pillow, hidden in the intimates drawer, or keenly hidden on the bookshelf - it's not a vibrator... its a journal. I have tossed around the idea of keeping a journal recently. For one, because starting the day off writing - I mean press brew on the coffee machine and sit down and write kind of first thing - is a great way to clear your head. The negative to this, be very careful not to vent and be negative. It is meant to be a positive cleanse to your worries - not a "Burn Book". Second, I have many from when I was a kid - well somewhere at my mother's house they are tucked away... and I remember re-reading them about a year ago. It was such a great experience. I learned so much! I want that in a few years! But most of all, because it is new and fun and I always feel better - accomplished - afterward. I picked up some blank journals, but the pages stare me in the face. So I found two that seem to sparkle...

Q & A A Day found at Anthropologie seems just what I might be looking for. It is a journal that is supposed to last for 5 years! Every day it asks a question. Simple - “What is your mission?”, or “Are you lucky?”. Some ordinary, some fun and quirky. All held together under the covers of a beautifully designed journal. It is quick, easy, and less then two minute answers. The great thing about this, it captures the little things you leave out when just plain writing. Current trends, your favorite music, and your must have happiness at the time are not left neglected.

Keel’s Simple Diary is another great option. It is an entertaining twist on the everyday journal. Comes in lime green, brown, royal blue, red, orange, and yellow. Take a minute and choose a color - there is a twist! Each page has a multiple choice question on how your day was - A. A freakshow B. A no-show or C. A showdown. It asks out of the ordinary questions including, “Something wicked you find awkwardly appealing?” and contains interesting quotes such as, “Imagination is the foundation of reality.” Fun. Inspiring. This journal is sure to teach you a thing or two about yourself.
Which one would you choose?
Q&A $17 | Keel's $15
